Hop Into an Electric Minibus with e-SCW!
This month we had the pleasure of delivering our latest fully electric minibus conversion to community transport association Waverley Hoppa in Surrey.
Our Conversion
Waverley Hoppa’s fully electric minibus is based on a M2 brake-approved Maxus eDeliver 9 and can transport up to eleven seated passengers. Their new minibus features an upgraded interior with grey wood-effect flooring and seats upholstered in a premium wipe clean grey material, complete with custom ‘S-style’ silver stitching and piping. Waverley Hoppa
Waverley Hoppa is a community transport organisation based in Surrey who supply a variety of transport solutions to residents within their local community. The organisation has been supporting the community for over 20 years by providing a friendly door-to-door transport service for schools, day centres and medical centres. Occasionally Waverley Hoppa have even provided a park and ride service for local community events such as village fairs.
Stanford’s Corporate Sales Manager, Paul Dedman, had the pleasure of meeting Waverley Hoppa’s friendly team at their base in Wormley to deliver their brand-new minibus with which they were very pleased. Paul represents Stanford Coachworks in the South of England and is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to the e-SCW range. Conversion Design
At Stanford Coachworks we don’t have a limited number of templates to choose from. All of our vehicle conversions are entirely bespoke and built to order.

Previously, we have designed vehicles with interior colour schemes to match an organisations branding, we have installed custom embroidered modesty screens, colour changing roof lighting and more. We want to make sure that our conversions are as safe as possible, so our team are highly trained in providing the best safety technology within our vehicles along with the latest legislative guidance. Whether you are unsure as to what vehicles your driving licences allows you to operate, or what safety options your vehicle should include, the Stanfords team are happy to help!
In addition to this, all of our vehicles are fully certified in accordance to either strict IVA or National Small Series Type Approval regulations.
Stanfords Sprinters Head to Scotland
This week the Stanfords team took a trip up to Scotland to deliver the latest accessible Flat Floor Mercedes Sprinter to our returning local authority client’s fleet.
This brand-new Mercedes Sprinter is based on the 516 L4H2 model and features our specially designed Flat Floor, allowing for unrestricted passenger seating and wheelchair space in the rear saloon. With an array of fantastic extra features and a colourful interior, these Sprinters are perfect for supporting a variety of the local authority’s free transport services.
Our local authority client provides free door-to-door transport to residents with in the community who are unable to access mainstream public transport. Their new Sprinters will operate 7 days a week undertaking a range of fully accessible journeys including shopping trips, visiting family and friends, work / education transport and general activities / outings.
About our Clients
The Stanford Coachworks Conversion
Each vehicle can transport up to 14 seated passengers, however this particular vehicle was delivered with just 8 removable seats as it will immediately be put to work transporting multiple disabled passengers. With all seats removed, the innovative Flat Floor design provides enough room to transport up to 5 wheelchairs at any one time.
The Handover
Our Regional Sales Manager, Nigel Povey, had the pleasure of taking a trip up to Scotland to deliver this new Mercedes Sprinter to our client. Nigel met with the fantastic transport team at the local authority’s depot and spent time demonstrating all of the exciting features in their new minibus. Nigel is a knowledgeable member of the SCW sales team who represents Stanford Coachworks in the North of England and Scotland.
