The Ultimate Barber Bus
With businesses all over the World evolving due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our latest client decided that it was the perfect time to go mobile with his popular barber shop.
Steve’s Barber Shop, based in Ilford, recognised that their customers were looking for a more convenient and hassle-free experience when it came to getting their haircut. Steve Pavlou, owner of Steve’s Barber Shop, understands that there is nothing worse than travelling to your favourite barbers only to be met by a queue of people and a long wait time, so he decided to launch Barber X Box.
Barber X Box is a professional mobile barber shop designed to travel directly to customers. They offer a personalised service in their brand-new Fiat Ducato, fully kitted out by Stanford Coachworks with all of the latest supplies and technology.
The interior design
Even though somewhat smaller in size than Steve’s original barber shop in Ilford, clients definitely will not be disappointed by his new mobile service. To complement the Barber X Box brand, we have trimmed the vehicle’s interior in a premium black bio-leather with striking yellow accents.
Taking pride of place in the centre of the barber bus is the Takara Belmont barbers chair, upholstered in matching black bio-leather with luxury yellow diamond stitching and piping. Two additional seats, upholstered in the same design, have also been included to create a comfortable waiting area. Our bio-leather interiors are frequently requested by clients as the material is incredibly durable yet still gives the same high-quality effect as genuine leather but lasts much longer.
The barber station
At the rear of the vehicle, we have designed a full high-specification barber station complete with a hot water hair washing basin, chequer-plated work desks, two rubbish bins, an LED illuminated mirror and a tool chest for all of Barber X Box’s hair tools.
Barber X Box’s customers will not miss out on any of the services that they can receive at Steve’s Barber Shop as we have included a product display cabinet, additional storage compartments and a microwave to heat towels, meaning that Steve can continue to offer his popular hot towel shaves whilst on the go!
Keeping the barber bus looking spotless is a major requirement for Steve, so everything in his mobile barbers can easily be cleaned and sanitised. We have even installed a high-tech hair vacuum which works by sucking up any hair swept in its direction.
The waiting area
When welcomed into the barber bus, customers can relax in the premium seats and have a drink from the custom-built bar. Maybe you’re more of a hot drink kind of person? Barber X Box has you covered too as we have installed a Nespresso coffee machine for those early morning trims.
In the centre of the vehicle, we have fitted a large swivel smart television with Apple TV, Netflix, BBC iPlayer and much more… Oh and did we mention the highly sought-after PlayStation 5 that you can play whilst getting your haircut?
The electrics
Most of the equipment used in the mobile barbers will require power, so we have installed multiple 240-volt power sockets along with USB charging points and a wireless charging station for clients to use.
Lighting is incredibly important when it comes to Steve’s work, so we have installed plenty of blue and white LED down lighting inside of the vehicle. Colour changing roof lights have also been installed and a variety of colours can be selected using the remote.
So that Steve can easily control all of his electrical equipment and lighting, we have positioned a master control panel above his tool station. This panel includes the switches for the lighting, media, heating, air conditioning and hot water. To power all of this advanced technology, we have fitted a 3000-watt inverter and auxiliary batteries. Where possible, the vehicle can also be hooked up to an external power source meaning that Steve never has to worry about loosing power.
