Bespoke Mobile Demonstration Unit for BraunAbility
After a new and exciting way to showcase your range of products? Our latest Peugeot Boxer conversion does just that for one of our long-term suppliers.
Converted for BraunAbility, this bespoke mobile demonstration unit will be used by the BraunAbility sales team to exhibit a number of their latest accessible products including tail lifts, removable seat fixings and tracked floor systems all whilst on the road.
At Stanford Coachworks we have worked closely with BraunAbility for a number of years and we were delighted when they asked us to help with their latest project. Their new vehicle, based on a L4H2 Peugeot Boxer Professional, includes four of BraunAbility’s wheelchair accessible entry options: an underfloor tail lift fitted beneath the rear of the vehicle, an internal tail lift inside the rear of the vehicle, an internal split platform tail lift at one of the twin side load doors and a fold-out ramp at the other. With their new Boxer, BraunAbility will be able to carry out demonstrations any time of day as we have fitted high-level scene lighting and two high-intensity LED load lamps to illuminate the exterior of the vehicle. We have also made each tail lift easily accessible for Braun so that they can replace any of the products with updated models when available.
An on the road sales office
Inside of the vehicle, we have installed another of Braun’s products to demonstrate to their clients - the Innotrax tracked flooring system. To give their vehicle a professional feel, and enabling it to double as an on the road sales office, we have overlined the flooring with a wood effect lino and have upholstered the interior with a soft-feel grey material. Above each wheel arch, we have custom-built two comfortable bench seating areas centred around a removable table. Both benches feature a premium blue diamond-stitch detachable topper allowing for additional storage space inside. Feature panels trimmed in the same blue premium material have also been included throughout the vehicle to compliment BraunAbility’s colour scheme.
Electrical equipment and media
BraunAbility specialise in a huge range of accessible products so we couldn’t fit all of them into one vehicle! Instead, we installed a 32’’ smart television into the custom-built bulkhead. Beneath the television, we have included a HDMI port which allows the Braun team to easily mirror their laptops and access even more products, training videos and digital brochures. A fold-old desk with a double 240-volt plug socket, USB and USB-C charging points have also been installed below the television.
To illuminate this space, we have included blue / white LED ceiling lights and low-level blue lighting. In order to power all of BraunAbility’s on-board electrical equipment, we have fitted an 800-watt inverter in the front cab. We couldn’t have BraunAbility running out of power mid-demonstration so we installed a battery capacity monitor which gives a visual display of the power left in the auxiliary batteries. If the power begins to run low, the ignition can be switched back on to recharge.
Thanks to BraunAbility
We would like to say thank you to BraunAbility for involving us in their latest project and we hope to see the mobile demonstration unit in action very soon. If you would like any further information on any of BraunAbility’s products, please click here.
