Major London hospital takes a SCW delivery
Over the past couple of months, we have been converting a range of medical service vehicles for a returning NHS client.
Our clients are based at a major NHS hospital in the city and required a range of medical service vehicles that can be used in a number of different situations. Being in central London, the hospital required a greener transport solution for their patients so they opted for some new hybrid Toyota Corollas. The Corollas will be used for non-emergency patient transport.
For patients requiring wheelchair access, we have converted a number of Mercedes Sprinters and Vitos. Each Vito features a specialist winch and restraint system and can carry one wheelchair plus four seated passengers.
The L2H2 Mercedes Sprinters are significantly larger and have been converted in two different layouts. The Sprinters have been configured to transport either eight seated patients, plus up to three wheelchairs with seats removed, or with four tip and fold seats and space to transport a patient in a stretcher.

What minibus is right for me?
Deciding on the perfect minibus can be daunting as there is so much to consider. Maybe you are stuck deciding which base vehicle will work best for you or you are wondering how many passengers your vehicle will be able to transport? So, why choose us?
We do not mass produce our vehicles. This means that each of our minibuses are specifically hand-crafted to meet all of your bespoke requirements by a team of just two skilled coachbuilders. Throughout the process we like to ensure that our clients remain involved, so we encourage factory visits where you can personally see your vehicle in build.
We pride ourselves on adding that personal touch to our conversions, whether it be embroidered headrests, branded modesty screens, diamond-stitched seating or colourful exterior signwriting, we are here to help!

SCW Exclusive: The Ultimate Barber Bus
With businesses all over the world evolving due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our latest client decided that it was time to go mobile with his popular barber shop.
Based in Ilford, Steve’s Barber Shop recognised that their customers were looking for a more convenient and hassle-free experience when it came to getting their haircut. Steve Pavlou, owner of Steve’s Barber Shop, understands that there is nothing worse than travelling all the way to your favourite barbers only to be met by a long queue, so he decided to launch Barber X Box.
Barber X Box is a professional mobile barber shop designed to travel directly to customers. They offer a personalised service in their brand-new Fiat Ducato, fully kitted out with all of the latest supplies and technology.

It’s all in the details…
At Stanford Coachworks, our aim is to provide clients with a vehicle which more than delivers. Our vehicles are built to each individual client’s transport needs using our extensive knowledge and experience of vehicle conversions. Every aspect of our conversions undergoes strict quality control, testing and a thorough pre-delivery inspection to ensure that they meet our impeccably high standards and safety regulations.
Our sales team are committed to keeping you up to date throughout the whole conversion process. If there is anything that you need, or if you have any questions that you would like to ask, our sales team are only a phone call away!
After those little extra special touches in your minibus? Our conversion teams are excellent at handcrafting bespoke vehicles with all of those additional personal features to meet your requirements. One of our coachbuilders above can be seen creating a custom storage locker.
Each vehicle is personally inspected by a member of the senior management team when in build and when complete to make sure that all requirements and expectations for quality and safety are being met.
Once complete, every vehicle undergoes a thorough pre-delivery inspection and will not leave our premises until all relevant regulatory paperwork is verified and the team are satisfied. During this process, the vehicle also receives a full valet and, because we are incredibly proud of our work, an individual photo shoot.
