Last week we were pleased to deliver our latest Flat Floor Mercedes Sprinter to one of our returning local authority customers in the South of England.
Our History With Our Customer
We’ve had the pleasure of working with this local authority since 2000, and in that time, we’ve proudly converted more than 100 vehicles for them - from 17-seat Mercedes Sprinter minibuses to fully accessible Volkswagen Caddys. Every vehicle is built to their exact specification and supports a wide range of services across the region, including the council’s dial-a-ride operation, local community groups and schools.
The Flat Floor Design
The Flat Floor Mercedes Sprinter is one of our specialist wheelchair accessible conversions, engineered to completely remove all wheel arch intrusions and create a fully open rear saloon. This innovative design creates significantly more usable space, enabling flexible seating layouts and additional wheelchair positions without compromise.
The Latest Sprinter
The local authority’s latest Mercedes Sprinter has been custom-built to their exact requirements and offers capacity for up to 10 passengers plus driver, or 3 wheelchair users. Inside, the vehicle features a colourful interior, offering wipe clean grey seating finished with blue piping and high-visibility yellow headrests. To complement the passenger seating, the vehicle is trimmed fully in soft-feel material with vibrant blue feature panels.
For our local authority customer, accessibility is key, so like most of their other SCW vehicles, their new Sprinter features our exclusive low-entry fold-out side step - also finished in high visibility yellow to match the interior. Passengers using wheelchairs can also easily access the vehicle via the PLS underfloor tail lift at the rear. Comfort is ensures year-round with Eberspaecher rear saloon heating and air conditioning and LED interior lighting.
