The Royal Hospital’s New Ford Tourneo Connect
Our latest conversion for the Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability is something a little different! This wheelchair accessible conversion is based on the new Ford Tourneo Connect and will be used to comfortably transport individual patients.
The Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability
The Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability provides rehabilitation and long-term care to people with complex neurological disabilities. This new vehicle will help transport a variety of the charity’s patients to and from appointments and recreational outings. Due to the vehicle being smaller in size, patients who require additional support, or those who prefer to travel alone, are now able to do so.
Benefits of the Ford Tourneo Connect for the Royal Hospital
The Royal Hospital are based in central London, so a smaller vehicle is much easier to manoeuvre around a busy city.
The vehicle’s low roof height enables the medical charity to park in most height-restricted car parks.
No specialist D1 driving licences are required by any of the charity’s staff members in order to drive these smaller vehicles.
The smaller vehicle size is ideal for patients who require additional support or for those who prefer to travel alone.
