The New Renault Master

This week we have completed our first of 32 wheelchair accessible conversions on the brand new Renault Master. The LM35, converted for a large vehicle leasing client, featured the redesigned front end, a more spacious and stylish front cab and enhanced safety technology.

Their metallic silver minibus included Renault’s new LED headlights, reversing sensors and glazed 180-degrees rear doors.

In the rear saloon we have installed 7 passenger seats. We have made 5 of these removable to allow for the securing of up to 4 wheelchairs. All of the M1 tested seats and head rests have been upholstered in a new Camira patterned moquette. We have also upholstered the bases and lower back curve in a wipe clean material. To ensure the interior theme is consistent throughout we have also reupholstered the drivers and front passengers’ seats.

We have also installed our SCW floor system overlaid in heavy duty non-slip lino and edged with high visibility strips at the side and rear entrances. For passenger access into the rear saloon, we have installed a manual pedal operated side step.

To help passengers enter and exit the vehicle, we have fitted high visibility yellow handrails to either side of the door. The rear most handrail forms into an upholstered modesty screen with our Stanford Coachworks logo.

Wheelchair access at the rear of the Master is via the Ricon internal tail lift. For ease, we have included a wheelchair clamp storage box to hold any wheelchair restraints.

Lighting in the rear saloon is provided by 3 LED down lights with white and blue comfort facility. For additional passenger comfort we have also installed rear saloon heating.
