For the past 25 years, Stanford Coachworks have offered a unique and personalised service resulting in the production of entirely bespoke minibuses.

Offering a personalised conversion process
Each Stanfords minibus is completely built to order. We don’t roll our vehicles off a production line, meaning that our clients have complete control over the design and look of their future minibus. Our sales team describe the process to their clients by explaining that, “When you buy a bus from Stanford Coachworks you are not buying an ‘off the peg’ item. We are the tailors and the product is tailor made to your specification.”
To make the whole process more personal, we invite our clients to come and visit our site for a pre-built meeting. During this time our clients get a real insight into the way that we work whilst viewing first-hand our wide range of materials and components.

We also give our clients the chance to meet the specialist coachbuilding team who will be entirely responsible for their conversion from start to finish. Each process is carried out on site, including the assembly and upholstery of our custom design seating, managed by a team of two fantastic ladies. The majority of the Stanfords team have been with us since we opened our doors over 25 years ago, so they are highly experienced when it comes to providing quality minibuses.

Safety is the forefront of our conversions
At SCW our team are dedicated to ensuring that every Stanfords minibus conforms to the latest safety legislation. Company co-directors, Jess & Lee, go by the personal ethos of ‘Would you place your child in that minibus?’ when assessing the safety of new products and components. Each vehicle undergoes either an IVA test or is converted to National Small Series Type Approval regulations. To find out more about our NSSTA, click here.
We are also part of the ISO 9001 : 2015 standard, meaning that our operating and vehicle conversion processes must exceed a number of high-standard quality controls.

The bespoke Stanfords touch
We want our minibuses to provide passengers with the best travel experience possible. Our clients are given the opportunity to choose from a wide variety of coloured patterned moquettes and we can design a number of bespoke touches to help represent our client’s organisation. Previously, we have designed custom roof panels, side panels and modesty screens, and we have also embroidered headrests with our client’s individual emblems. We also upholstered the clamp box cover, cant rail tracking covers and head protection pads in matching moquette to tie the design all together.
