What is a Secure Cell Conversion?
The Stanford Coachworks Premium Secure Cell Vehicle is purpose-built for the safe and dignified transport of high-risk mental health patients, particularly those who may pose a threat to themselves or others. Engineered with precision and compassion, the vehicle features a secure holding cell in the rear, complete with a singular wipe clean and moquette passenger seat, LED lighting and ventilation fan.
Inside the Conversion
Based on the Renault Master L3H2, the Secure Cell Vehicle is equipped with emergency blue lights and sirens for rapid response in critical care scenarios. The Secure Cell conversion features a split rear saloon configuration. The front half of the vehicle, designated for care teams, is fully lined with hygienic, easy-to-clean surfaces and includes four premium comfort passenger seats, a fold-away table for operational use and interior & exterior CCTV to support both patient and staff safety.
In the rear half, a secure cell unit has been installed to safely accommodate a single patient when needed, ensuring both protection and containment during transit. For driver safety, the front cabin is also separated from the rear by a custom-built bulkhead with mesh partition. Take a look at the full vehicle specification below.
