This week we were delighted to deliver our latest Mercedes Sprinter minibus to our returning clients of over two decades, Uttlesford Community Travel.

 

23 Years of Uttlesford CT & SCW

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Uttlesford Community Travel for over 23 years, converting nearly 20 bespoke wheelchair accessible vehicles for their fleet. As an Essex-based charity located close to the SCW factory, it’s especially rewarding to support their incredible work in our shared community.

Uttlesford Community Travel is a dedicated charity providing fully accessible transport for residents who face challenges with public transport - whether due to age, disability or rural isolation. Their wheelchair accessible minibuses support journeys to shops, medical appointments, and social visits, with DBS-checked drivers trained to assist as needed.

 

The Latest Minibus

Built on the Mercedes Sprinter L4H2, the newest vehicle for Uttlesford CT offers flexible capacity for up to 15 passengers or 5 wheelchairs. The interior features colourful blue patterned moquette passenger seating, our exclusive low-entry fold-out side step, and a Ricon internal tail lift for enhanced accessibility.   • Limo tinted rear passenger windows

  • Personalised exterior signwriting

  • External and internal CCTV camera system for driver and passenger safety

  • Facility to carry up to 15 x passengers plus driver or 5 x wheelchairs

  • 14 x rear passenger seats upholstered in blue patterned moquette with wipe clean based and lower back curve

  • All passenger seats feature extended seatbelt stalks and removable fixings

  • Interior trimmed in contrasting grey soft-feel material

  • Roof centre panels and feature panels trimmed in matching patterned moquette

  • Front cabin seats reupholstered to match the passenger cabin

  • Driver’s screen with night blind fitted behind driver’s seat

  • Tracked flooring overlaid with wood-effect non-slip covering
