Nacro Greater Manchester Outdoor Learning Take Delivery of Bespoke Support Vehicle
Last week we proudly delivered a brand-new bespoke project to Nacro Greater Manchester Outdoor Learning, a programme ran by national charity, Nacro, who use a variety of outdoor activities to help young people build confidence, teamwork and critical thinking skills. Their new vehicle will be used to help support their fantastic Outdoor Summer Holiday Club.
Who are Nacro Greater Manchester Outdoor Learning?
Nacro is a national social justice charity supporting people across England and Wales to overcome disadvantage and build brighter futures. A key part of their work is the Greater Manchester Outdoor Learning programme, which helps young people and adults develop confidence, resilience and practical skills through a variety of outdoor activities. They also run summer holiday clubs and support recognised awards including the Duke of Edinburgh and John Muir Awards, all designed to build teamwork, problem-solving and personal development.
The New Bespoke Support Unit
The new vehicle, based on the Peugeot Boxer L3H2, has been designed as a specialist support unit for their Outdoor Summer Holiday Club, based at Wythenshawe Park Horticultural Centre. The vehicle will help them deliver activities such as outdoor sports, bushcraft, conservation, environmental education and practical skills training to even more young people. The support unit includes a range of tailored features, including a roof rack from transporting bikes, multiple seating areas with tables for a quiet working environment and a side awning that extends to create additional covered outdoor space. This much-needed asset will support the transport of both children and equipment to the Summer Holiday Club and activity sites.
It has been a pleasure working with Nacro Greater Manchester Outdoor Learning to bring this project to life. We hope that the vehicle will help support the Outdoor Summer Holiday club and most importantly we hope that both the children and team enjoy using it!
