It has been a pleasure to once again work with our returning clients, Band Van Hire, to create the brand-new Artist Edition Tour Bus.
SCW Specialist Conversions: The Flat Floor Mercedes Sprinter
Engineered for versatility, our Flat Floor conversions are a game-changer when it comes to specialist wheelchair accessible transport. Available on the Mercedes Sprinter long or extra-long wheelbase models, these conversions feature a specially designed Flat Floor which eliminates all rear saloon wheel arch intrusions, allowing unrestricted space for passenger seating and wheelchairs.
Our Latest Flat Floor Conversions
We’re pleased to be converting nine Flat Floor Mercedes Sprinters for a Scottish-based local authority - each designed for maximum comfort, accessibility and operational efficiency. These fully wheelchair accessible conversions all feature our specialist Flat Floor and can transport up to 15-seated passengers or 5 wheelchairs with seats removed.

Vehicle Specification
As well as daily routes, the vehicles will also be available to members for organised social day trips. Additionally, local voluntary groups and community organisations will also have the pleasure of being able to hire the new vehicles.
Artist Edition: Band Van Hire’s New Premium Tour Bus
Introducing the Artist Edition Premium Tour Bus, handcrafted exclusively for our returning customers Band Van Hire.
For this specialist project, we worked closely with Band Van Hire to tailor the bespoke build to the evolving needs of touring professionals. With VIP passenger seating, on-the-road entertainment and plenty of refreshments, Band Van Hire’s Artist Edition Tour Bus is sure to deliver elevated comfort and functional elegance.
Who are Band Van Hire?
Band Van Hire is a UK-based company specialising in luxury self-drive touring vehicles for the music industry. Based in Brighton, they offer a range of premium splitter vans, mini nightliners, gear vans and trailers designed specifically for artists on the road. Band Van Hire is a proud member of the British Rental and Leasing Association and their vehicles are frequently used by top 100 artists , reflecting their fantastic reputation for quality and reliability.
On-Board Entertainment
Whether Band Van Hire’s artists are in the mood for a movie, a gaming session, or an immersive music experience, the dual smart televisions, equipped with Apple TV, PlayStation 5, and a premium SONOS sound system, deliver top-tier entertainment throughout the journey. We have installed multiple wireless charging stations and USB / USBc ports throughout the passenger cabin, keeping every device powered and ready.
For artists and producers working on the go, an easily accessible HDMI port allows laptops to mirror directly onto the big screen - ideal for editing, reviewing or presenting content mid-journey.
The Artist Edition Tour Bus also features blackout window blinds, electric folding tables, ambient roof lighting, a Nespresso coffee machine and a fridge for refreshments and snacks. It’s effortless to transform the space into your own private mobile studio.
The Artist Edition Tour Bus
Setting a new benchmark in touring luxury, Band Van Hire’s Artist Edition Tour Bus is the highest-spec vehicle in their fleet, combining cutting-edge technology, luxury finishes and tour-ready functionality all in one unmatched build.
Based on the Mercedes Sprinter L3H2, the Artist Edition Tour Bus features six luxury GT-design passenger seats upholstered in black vegan leather with cream stitching and piping. All six VIP seats feature electric recline, heat and phone charging sockets. The front two master seats also feature electric leg rests. With vegan leather wipeable side walls, seats and hard-wearing black carpet the interior design balances luxury with durability - ideal for long-haul touring.

The New Model
We are thrilled to announce the addition of two brand-new vehicles to our conversion catalogue - The Renault Master and fully-electric Renault Master E Tech. These versatile platforms open up exciting new possibilities for a variety of our conversions including wheelchair accessible vehicles, non-accessible minibuses, PTS vehicles and fully-electric e-SCW minibuses.
e-SCW: South West Council Goes Green!
Built on a variety of different chassis, including the Ford eTransit, each conversion is tailored to meet our customer’s specific requirements. Our e-SCW conversions reflect a forward-thinking approach to mobility, combining zero-emissions with the premium finish and bespoke design that Stanford Coachworks is known for.
For those looking to incorporate greener transport solutions into their organisation, we have proudly designed the e-SCW range of fully electric vehicle conversions.
The e-SCW Conversion
This Ford eTransit conversion can transport up to 10 passengers plus driver, and includes 8 wipe clean removable rear passenger seats, allowing space for 2 wheelchair users when removed. The vehicle also features an underfloor tail lift with DoorSafe automatic barrier for passenger protection, an automatic LED illuminated side step, blue / white interior lighting and a wheelchair restraint storage box.

Local Authority’s First Fully-Electric Accessible Minibus
Recently we had the pleasure of working with a local authority based in the South West of England, to introduce their first fully-electric minibus. Based on the Ford eTransit, this zero-emission vehicle will operate as part of the local authority’s on-demand bus service, offering flexible, app-based booking for residents across rural areas of the county. With full wheelchair accessibility, the new minibus is available to all.
